| I’m David and I play guitar and sing for BoonDoggle. I basically started playing guitar once BoonDoggle formed back in March of 2003. I do the majority of the writing for BoonDoggle, which is really quite interesting. As a writer and I mean both musically and lyrically, my biggest influences are Weezer, Nirvana, and Social Distortion. The first few songs I wrote for BoonDoggle were softer and mellower then what I have written recently and am currently writing. I suppose this is because I can get my vocals on easier when singing softer. I feel that we have pushed ourselves as a band to play harder and more difficult songs as our time as a band went along. I pretty much constantly look for new ways to present music, for some interesting way to play a song, and I think it has motivated me as a musician, not just a writer; to be able to play what I think, that is the goal. I am deeply concerned with the lack of Rock ’n Roll in our society, and I aim to fill that void. I am also currently a sophomore at the University of Puget Sound, majoring in history.
